Let us wait a bit more to know who will represent Armenia at “Eurovision-2009” contest.
But my vote goes for Inga and Anush Arshakyan!!!
Arshakyan initially started with the Armenian State Song Theatre and later presented Armenian ethno-folk songs in modern arrangements. The music saves the traditional melodies and adds a beautiful modern twist to them.
UPD. Their song “Jan,jan” won and they will represent Armenia in Moscow
Although I haven’t seen the other possibilities, I really like this duo very much, and their website is beautifully enchanting: http://ingaanush.am/
I first read about this here: http://gayarmenia.blogspot.com/2009/02/inga-and-anush-arshakyans-revealed.html
It’s nice to see you and Mika agreeing on something ! 😉
Thank you for bringing this music to my attention, will listen to more of it and review.
The only thing I am unhappy about the Eurovision Song Contest is that the use of English, in the Contest increases year by year.
As a native English speaker I think this is unfair!
It’s certainly time to break the habit of “language imperialism”, in the Eurovision Song Contest, and use a song, sung in Esperanto instead!
Ani jan,it;s even better that you haven’t sen other possibilities:)
I saw Mher’s video yesterday, Apparently, he’s a monk?? 😉
I thing yes, something average between man and woman:)
