  1. My family is in the USA as a consequence of the Turkish blood bath. I am happy to tell everyone that some members of my family will be visiting again this year for summer solstice. I am especially interested in the work being done on planting new trees, and re establishing ecology in Armenia. A new day is upon us, and even the genocide cannot break our spirit. Yet, my great Grandfather and what he had to go through to come to a new country barely speaking the tongue wasn’t all that easy a route. His soul cried for vengeance up to the day he died, and it is all part of what we have become. Forgive your enemies, perhaps, he once said, but only after you have defeated them. In our family, his trek, and work to establish his family is a proud monument of someone who, having lost his country by having to escape gave us a special pride in our culture and family.
