Anush and Inga Arshakyan/”Gutan”/Eurovision-2009

Let us wait a bit more to know who will represent Armenia at “Eurovision-2009” contest.

But my vote goes for Inga and Anush Arshakyan!!!

Arshakyan initially started with the Armenian State Song Theatre and later presented Armenian ethno-folk songs in modern arrangements. The music saves the traditional melodies and adds a beautiful modern twist to them.

UPD. Their song “Jan,jan” won and they will represent Armenia in Moscow

Although I haven’t seen the other possibilities, I really like this duo very much, and their website is beautifully enchanting:

I first read about this here:

It’s nice to see you and Mika agreeing on something ! 😉

  2. Thank you for bringing this music to my attention, will listen to more of it and review.

  3. The only thing I am unhappy about the Eurovision Song Contest is that the use of English, in the Contest increases year by year.

As a native English speaker I think this is unfair!

It’s certainly time to break the habit of “language imperialism”, in the Eurovision Song Contest, and use a song, sung in Esperanto instead!
